Warm Like Bath Water
She's warm like bath water
sweet like a couch
cozy as a nap on a screened-in porch
I see why people pad their nests
and guard against unwanted guests
but we won't be like that
if we have mice we'll get a cat
Whatever happens, I'm a lucky guy
I guess I'll just lay down and die
here against your fuzzy cheek
it's been an easy easy easy week
She's soft like lava
as welcome as trees |
or the smell of toast on a morning breeze
I understand why lovers kneel
and don't mind if they miss a meal
but I've been all day on my feet
whatever you've got, I'll eat
Whatever happens, I'm a lucky guy
I guess I'll just break down and cry
here against your fuzzy cheek
it's been an easy easy easy week
Dad and Grandma, Rosie too
to the ceremony you're all invited
if I could breathe the life back into you
I'm sure you'd be delighted |
